Liz used InstaMorph to create a custom mount for an Android phone, which includes the camera the robot uses to “see”. InstaMorph allowed her to get up and running quickly with the perfect part.
“I use InstaMorph to prototype parts for electronic projects I’m working on over at www.rettgergalactic.com. Today I needed a way to mount an Android Phone onto an RC Car in order to make a self driving car. I wrapped my phone in plastic wrap to protect it, then pressed it into a block of InstaMorph to create a perfectly sized mount. The mount was then hot glued to the front of the RC Car, and ten minutes later I had a perfectly secure stand for my phone. Before InstaMorph I probably would have had to duct tape the phone on there, but this is a much better solution!”
